The next step is to purchase land to expand the school and improve access to education for the children in the community. The usual purchase price is around 12,000 US dollars per hectare, but thanks to Phillipe's previous service to the community, the price has been reduced to 9,000 US dollars per hectare. Our goal is to acquire the necessary land this year to begin construction of the school and provide additional classrooms and necessary facilities. On site in Qurus, Phillipe Paulo, the principal of Phillipe Friends Academic School, will be responsible for the entire project management. He will ensure that all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
In order to meet the state requirements, a 4 hectare piece of land must be acquired. Thanks to a generous donation from Canada, Philippe has already been able to purchase 2 hectares of land. The cost of the additional two hectares is around 18,000 US dollars or approximately 16,000 Swiss francs.
Our aim with the crowdfunding is to raise the 16,000 Swiss francs for the land purchase. In the best-case scenario, we will also be able to contribute to the construction and infrastructure costs.
