Diagnosis of colon cancer - I'm not giving up!
Project SummaryIsabel has cancer. The diagnosis does not stop her from loving her life despite pain and limitations. She wants to share her thoughts, the ups and downs and the experiences with other patients. Help realize her (diary) book and donate now!
In November, I was diagnosed with colon cancer and immediately underwent surgery. When opening the abdomen, the doctor recognized what was not visible on the CT: metastases have affected my right side. In order to preserve my vitality, I decided to take the alternative path in addition to chemo and I will use my conviction, my strength, my motivation for a path to salvation for all those who see no hope right now. On this path, you need support and guidance, decisions are pending that are serious...Therefore, I would like to create a kind of guide for patients who feel similar to me.
Anyone who has walked through life's deep valleys themselves, anyone who has a life-threatening illness, can truly relate to what anyone affected is going through. The ups and downs are part of life and I am convinced that faith in health, conviction and the power of positive thinking is an extremely important factor. Everyone has read about such miracles. With a self-written book I want to give courage. I want to prove to other sufferers that life is beautiful, despite the sword of Damocles that hangs over your head, and that it is the decision that makes everything. Whether you sink in the grief and fear or stick to the fact that the moment should be seized.
Since my diagnosis, I have written down everything I encountered every day. An authentic book about ups and downs, about decisions during this time motivates those affected to keep a positive attitude. I want to pass on the strength, motivation and energy so that everyone believes that the miracle can happen to him/her! I want to publish a book that will be a guide through the darkness!
I, Isabel Steinhauser, am starting this project because it is expensive to publish a book, to create an (internet) platform and because every centime counts in a project that supports the individual path with the help of alternative healing methods. An important question on this arduous path arises again and again: Should finances be the deciding factor whether one can become healthy or not? DEFINITELY NO!
The donation goal has been more than reached thanks to your active support. So today I am not only celebrating my birthday, but also you. With so much positive attention, the book almost writes itself.
Dear family, friends and supporters
I am overwhelmed by so much compassion and affirming, encouraging words. It is these empowering moments that carry me through difficult times. For those who think my days know only positivity, they should see me when I am struggling with my mind, which is trying to tell me in a panic that there is no future? In such moments I try to feel myself in the here and now and to enjoy the moment. This often takes a lot of strength. In my diary I process all the inner struggles and so a many-page Word file has already been created, which wants to be revised and get to print. These will now be the next steps, in the days when I am doing well so far. There is not always enough strength and verve.
From the bottom of my heart, THANK YOU for your generosity, your support, your precious contributions to this project. Words cannot express what it means to be so richly thought of.
I'll keep you posted on the progress. Keep an eye on the blog at www.isabelmitkrebs.ch and you will always be up to date.
Best regards and thank you for so much appreciation.

A cancer diagnosis is never easy. Neither for the patients nor for their relatives. With her book, her stories, experiences and tips, Isabel can give courage and comfort. She is right: a positive outlook can make a difference and certainly helps to make life more pleasant with its challenges. In addition, we like to walk on the paths that already exist. Isabel tries to put one of the many paths on paper that many people can follow afterwards.
