Project SummaryWunschambulanz Schweiz gives seriously ill people last unforgettable moments. To ensure well-being and medical care in all weathers, the vehicles need to be equipped with better air conditioning and power systems. With your donation, you help to fulfil last wishes of the heart!
Background
The Wunschambulanz Schweiz fulfils the last wish of a seriously ill person before the end of their life. Since its foundation in 2017, we have already made around 600 wishes come true - moving moments that bring comfort, joy and precious memories to those affected and their loved ones.
The specially equipped ambulances and specialised volunteer staff make it possible to fulfil these wishes free of charge and with the necessary medical care. The fulfilment of last wishes requires the transport of patients under optimal conditions, regardless of external weather conditions.
Currently, the vehicles' air conditioning and power systems are not powerful enough, especially in extreme temperatures. On particularly hot or cold days, the well-being of patients can be significantly impaired.

To ensure that our patients can embark on their desired journey in safe and comfortable conditions, the Wunschambulanz is planning to optimise the vehicle technology in a targeted manner. Our goal: a stable interior temperature and a reliable mobile power supply, regardless of external weather conditions. To achieve this, we rely on:

Together with the there-for-you foundation, we put our heart and soul into fulfilling the last wishes of seriously ill people. The Swiss Wish Ambulance does far more than "simply" transport seriously ill people - it gives them autonomy, dignity and precious last experiences. By fulfilling the last wishes of the heart, it helps those affected and their families to say goodbye more consciously and with positive memories. However, vehicle optimisation is essential if wishes are to be fulfilled in line with the needs and requirements of patients. By improving air conditioning and power supply systems, passengers are not only offered physical relief, but also a dignified, pleasant journey. These technical adaptations are crucial in order to create moments of joy and normality during a particularly challenging phase of life and at the same time promote social dialogue on the topic of death.
We will send the donation receipt (for Switzerland) in January of the following year.
