Successful implementation of the "Safe drinking water for children" project - A look at the progress made
Thank you once again for your support in realising the "Clean Water for Children" project. With your help we were able to:
- Organising an educational event to inform the children about water-borne diseases and the benefits of drinking water.
- Installing a 250 litre mini water system with fully automatic motors in the school.
- Following child safety guidelines and earthing the power supply to protect against short circuits.
- To save water and protect the environment, waste water has been diverted to the vegetable garden.
- The children actively participate in the garden activities, which brings them closer to the environment.
- Children's committees have been formed to ensure that no water is wasted when filling the bottles and to monitor the children to ensure that they drink at least 4-6 litres during school hours (7 hours).
- The technician of the system explained the system to the responsible persons and the heads of the children's committees in order to maintain the system.
We have successfully implemented the project and hereby present you with some photos that clearly show the changes.
A special thanks goes to the children and especially to the boy Sai (9th grade) who was damaged by the fluoride (can no longer walk with his legs). Thanks to your support, all the children and their parents are now very happy.
Thank you very much.
With kind regards,
Mrs Jamuna
