Support Jules Mbomba
Project SummaryJules' family is burdened by financial worries, so they cannot cover the expenses for food and rent. To support his family, Jules wants to use his acquired knowledge of brick making to start his own business. To do this, he needs financial support to buy the materials. Help Jules break out of poverty and become more independent!
Background
Jules grew up in a poverty-stricken family in Congo. As he could not study at university due to the family's lack of financial resources, he decided to complete an apprenticeship as a bricklayer. Through the practical knowledge he gained, Jules was able to find work, which enabled him to study at university. Unfortunately, he had to interrupt his studies at the university after seven months because he could no longer find work and so the money was not enough.
The situation of Jules and his family worsened due to the Corona Pandemic. Both his parents lost their jobs, which had previously provided them with at least a small monthly wage of 50 USD. Due to the lack of funds, they were unable to pay the rent for over six months, forcing the family to take on debt. Jules continued to look for solutions and in the meantime found work on a construction site, where he made bricks and other things. But the builder he had worked for had to close his business and Jules lost his job as a result. Jule's family's financial worries are a heavy burden, the rent is outstanding, food is scarce and continuing Jule's studies is a distant prospect.

Idea
Jules was able to gain work experience on a construction site where he learned to make bricks and other things. This work suited him well and complemented the technical and practical knowledge he acquired during his apprenticeship as a bricklayer. Jules wants to use these skills to start his own business. Specifically, he wants to open his own construction site where he makes bricks.
By working for himself, Jules hopes to create a stable source of income. This would enable him to support his family with rent and everyday needs. He also hopes that once his family is more stable again, he will be able to continue his studies with the income.

Implementation
In order to implement his idea of securing a new income for his family through self-employment, Jules plans the following steps:
1) Clarification of location and administrative matters
2) Procurement of material and tools for production
3) Acquisition of orders
Since Jules has already worked in a construction company of this kind, he already has customers. Therefore, Jules knows that there is a demand for bricks. His previous employer could not continue the business financially, which also resulted in Jules being fired.

Initiators
My name is Véronique Kasongo, I am myself also from the Democratic Republic of Congo. Jules is an acquaintance of my mother and when she explained his families' sad situation to me, I decided to offer my help and try to make the project happen.
